C5P

C5P is a high - performance pure class-A all - valve preamplifier.
Conceived as the natural partner for Unison Research P3oK Power amplifier, it will also give excellent results with almost all power amplifiers of suitable quality, whether valve or solid state.

Inside C5P
The printed circuit has been designed with the absolute minimum number of components placed in the signal path, each one being of the highest quality and carefully selected for its particular job.
Special attention has also been paid to the circuit layout, designed for the lowest possible capacitance. The result of this careful attention to detail is a sound rich in detail, tonal colour and micro-contrast, with a wide and convincing soundstage.
The power supply is generously dimensioned, and based around a specially designed toroidal transformer having very low magnetic flux.

Controls
C5P is supplied complete with radiowave remote control of volume, activated by an elegant wood handset. Radio control allows convenient operation, from out of sight of the preamplifier if required. The input selector is a high - quality unit, hermetically sealed and with sliding gold contact surfaces for silent operation and long life.

Optional Phono Board
A highly sophisticated all-valve phono stage is available to cater for vinyl replay.
This is based on a pure class-A, passive RIAA circuit using three twin-triode valves and is switchable for optimal matching of both MM and MC cartridges.
The phono board is mounted on a compliant rubber suspension to reduce microphone.

Appearance Design
No Unison Research product would be complete without an attractive appearance design.
C5P is no exception. Its understated elegance is enhanced by control knobs in machined stainless steel which are silky smooth in operation. All wood parts are hand crafted and finished in vegetable lacquer to give them a natural organic look and feel.
Last but not least, all connectors are gold plated for long life.
