Unico i

Unico i is a fully solid-state integrated amplifier with an unusual but very impressive pedigree. It is in fact the first solid-state amplifier ever made by Unison Research, but springs from many years of experience in designing and building some of the finest valve amplifiers ever made.
It will appeal to music lovers seeking the natural, refined sound which has been the hallmark of Unison Research products since the company was founded more than 15 years ago.
As well as grace and sweetness Unico i has generous dynamics and driving ability with loo watts of power, making it a versatile and strong - hearted all - rounder, equally convincing and enjoyable on all types of music.

Inside Unico i
A large power supply is provided, consisting of a specially designed 35oVA mains transformer and well-dimensioned bank of filter capacitors.
The power output Mosfets are fitted to a massive 1.4 kg heatsink to ensure optimum thermal stability, and fully protected against overload by a fully automatic electronic circuit. Both the input selector and volume control are top quality components, specially selected for long-term reliability.
Following Unison Research tradition, Unico i is a robustly constructed unit, with a heavy chassis and an attractive faceplate in 15 mm satin aluminium.

Controls and connections
Five line-level inputs are provided, with the option of a plug-in phono stage. This is an easy-to-fit unit, which caters for both MM and MC cartridges by simply changing its movable connections. Control of volume is via a radiowave link from a neat and stylish remote handset.
This feature means that the volume can be adjusted from a position out of sight of the amplifier, and indeed from another room if necessary. Two pairs of loudspeakers connectors for each channel are provided, allowing a full range of bi-wiring options.
These are gold-plated, and fully isolated as required by the latest CE regulations.
